Barbara Agneida Wise Wiseman was sent to begin her life’s journey Aug. 24, 1940, and returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at the age of 82.

While on her journey of life, she was an inspiration and showed the true meaning of God’s love to many. She was born and raised in Hardin County and was a graduate of Rineyville High School, Class of 1958. She was a dedicated homemaker who loved her family and the one true God to whom she remained faithful. She was a garden enthusiast and had a green thumb for flowers and plants of all kinds.

She was a Sunday School teacher who led by example at Full Gospel Fellowship, Highway of Holiness and Faith Apostolic Church, where she most recently had been a member for many years. She was an active member of the ladies auxiliary and worked endlessly when called upon. Her passion was children, especially babies. She babysat several years and many of those have now grown up and still call her “Nanny.”

She was preceded in death by her first-born son, Carl Dennis Wiseman; her parents, Everett Wise and Ola Bryant; grandson, Robert Alex Wiseman; and brothers, Bobby Gene Wise and Rufus “Jack” Wise.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband of 64 years, Carl Dennison Wiseman; three children, Cheryl Snyder (Gaius), Carla Cantrell (Darrell) and Michael Wiseman (Monica) as well as a special and dear daughter in love, Thea Bramblet; a half-sister, Elaine Kelley (Leon); 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a beloved and faithful pet, Sam.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Faith Apostolic Church, 408 Nicholas St., Elizabethtown, with the Rev. Duray Aldridge officiating. Burial follows in Youngers Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

She is gone from this life, freed from suffering and pain, but now will have a new body as she awaits those that will meet her again. Well done thou good and faithful servant.
