We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a driven, passionate HR Policy Manager to play a critical role in the development and enhancement of People & Culture policy and employee programs.  You will act as a resource and support for the business, and People & Culture leaders, in creating policy and programs that lend to a best-in-class winning culture.  You will be a key player in the creation and launch of programs such as, employee onboarding, performance management, succession planning and employee engagement. It’s Game ON!

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Director Talent Acquisition & Employee Programs, you will be empowered to:

  • Develop and maintain departmental People & Culture policies in alignment with Employee and Talent Strategy and enterprise policy governance standards

  • Provide support to People & Culture Senior Leaders and Subject Matter Expert areas, in the drafting, updating and / or maintenance of divisional policies ensuring policies are cohesive in tone and are representative of OLG’s mission, vision and truths

  • Research and bring forward insights, best practices and recommendations for new policies and programs or enhancements to existing policies and programs to maintain OLGs place as an employer of choice

  • Develop program documents, user guides, manual etc. incorporating research and best practices and internal feedback solicited from P&C, enterprise leaders and employees where appropriate

  • Partner with Corporate Communications in the development and dissemination of Employee Programs related communications to promote and raise awareness of HR programs and initiatives

  • Maintain up to date knowledge on applicable public sector legislation and regulations that impact policy direction and provide recommendation to current policy to ensure legislation and regulations are adhered

  • Partner with the enterprise Policy Services function in the ongoing management of P&C policies, ensuring consistency in practice across the organization

  • Provide guidance to HR Business Partner teams and other P&C leaders on policy inquiries and interpretation

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY

Work experience: Five years in Human Resources with demonstrated experience developing and deploying HR policies and programs. Specific, experience creating programs for the full spectrum of talent management portfolio and employee engagement.   

Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, policy or related field.

Passion for Policy: Hold a passion for developing and crafting policy that steps outside the box and supports a people centric mindset.

Strategic Thinker: Experience in taking a strategic lens to the creation of exceptional employee programs.
