We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Learning Systems Manager to The Learning Systems Manager is accountable for the overall management and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) including it’s ongoing enhancement and optimization in alignment with the broader Talent Development strategy. The role provides technical support and subject matter expertise across the organization, related to the LMS, to ensure a positive user experience.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Director Talent Development , you will be empowered to:

  • Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) structure ensuring its ongoing optimization, identify gaps, evaluating and prioritizing opportunities and make recommendations to the Director Talent Development; coordinate upgrades and patches within the platform and the installation of plug-ins, in collaboration with HR Systems and Enterprise Technology as required.

  • Troubleshoot and test learning support issues and coordinate data migration (i.e., 3rd party online library) activities between all life cycle environments for an enterprise LMS solution. 

  • Resolve and respond to employee issues related to LMS access, enrollment, training records and other issues as identified.

  • Design, document, coordinate and implement User Acceptance Testing (UAT) methodology when testing learning modalities (i.e., eLearning, videos, etc.); ensuring the quality and integrity of the LMS platform.

  • Manage the administration of the LMS, ensuring required backups and restores, the maintenance of published source files, project artifacts, business rules, course naming structures, as well as data archiving and clean up, particularly as it relates to training driven out of legislative requirements.

  • Provide technical and reporting expertise as the LMS subject matter expert, lead the identification of process improvements and the streamlining of systems processes.

  • Identify SCORM (Shareable Content Object Reference Model) and xAPI and technical standard process and requirements to publish developed eLearning programs (either internally or externally developed) to ensure their functionality on various learning environments.

  • Support the delivery of enterprise-wide and divisional talent development initiatives; collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and associated artifacts and provide recommendations to better utilize LMS technology processes and functionality.

  • Ensure all learning assets have the proper level of accessibility as required by AODA and other quality assurance standards in collaboration with accessibility partners.

  • Utilize LMS reporting system to run regular training completion reports; develop ad hoc data queries and reports and collaborate with HR Reporting to create specialized reports, as required and maintain LMS Administrator guide.

  • Manage and coordinates the posting of relevant material on OLG’s intranet (InsideOLG), MS teams, and other collaboration tools to ensure employees have access to the most up to date and accurate information.

  • Proactively identify process inefficiencies and inconsistencies and collaborate within the P&C division, and with others, to enhance the overall employee experience.

  • Lead the response and remediation of audit findings related to the LMS; participate in review and process improvement sessions as it relates to findings and recommendations.

  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and new Learning Management technologies and provide recommendations to the Talent Development team on suitable technologies and approaches in their eLearning program development.

  • The role works in partnership with HR Systems to implement and maintain talent suite related requirements such as role assignment and set-up, dashboard set up and data access. 

  • The role works in partnership with Enterprise Technology as it relates to system upgrades and complex integrations.

  • The role acts as a primary contact with the vendor (Alight/Workday) when coordinating/managing deliverables related to the Learning workstream. 

  • The role collaborates with Learning SMEs (i.e., Talent Development team, HR Business Partners, and Business SMEs) to define business requirements and increase understanding of LMS technology processes and functionality

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY

Work Experience: Three to five (3-5) years of technical and functional experience at the super user level with one or more Platform | Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) | Experience designing and executing on User Acceptance Testing of LMS or other systems 

Education: Post-Secondary Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field | CTDP designation is an asset | Expert knowledge of Learning Management Systems | Strong knowledge of SCORM and xAPI technical standards
