Lesley Stribling Obituary (1930 – 2023) – Radcliff, KY

Retired Staff Sgt. Lesley Earl Stribling passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, in his home in Radcliff, surrounded by his children. He was 92 years old.

Born on a farm March 9, 1930, in Granby, Missouri, Stribling joined the military in 1947 and spent the next 23 years serving his country in two wars. He was a veteran of both the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir in late 1950 and the Tet Offensive in Vietnam in 1968. Stribling served an additional year in Korea in the late 1950s and two tours in Germany. He is a recipient of the Army Commendation Medal. After leaving military service, Stribling settled outside Fort Knox, where he worked in civil service as a maintenance technician with the Fort Knox Dependent Schools.

He was known for his generosity, especially with his time and skills as a repairman. He is predeceased by his wife of more than 50 years, Dorothy, who passed away in 2010.

He is survived by a son, Gerald; a daughter, Leslie; and four grandchildren, David, Zachary, Karlyn and Jolaine; as well as numerous great-grandchildren.

His ashes will be interred by his family at North Hardin Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 27.
