Cyklar’s Body Wash and Cream Transformed My Skin

In the summer, my skin is gleaming with hydration and a bit of excess oil—I’ll never need to use a separate highlighter on my skin. But winter is a completely different story; my skin practically shrivels up and becomes parched as soon as temperatures drop below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
As a shopping expert and beauty aficionado, I’m never not testing a beauty product. I receive dozens from brands to test and even purchase dozens more myself—often influenced by social media. And towards the end of 2024, Cyklar caught my eye via TikTok. Truth be told, I was more attracted to the newly released vanilla scent than the product itself. But, my semi-impulsive purchase worked out in the end, because it only took one use for me to know that this was it for me. The Cyklar Sensorial Body Wash and Nutrient-Rich Body Cream combined have ruined the appeal of other body care products I’ve been using.
Cyklar Sensorial Body Wash

In an attempt to relieve the tough, dry patches on my skin and my general body, I was blending a myriad of in-shower body lotions, creams, serums, oils, mists—everything—to prevent the tight, dryness of my winter skin. Often, though, to no avail. I always wound up reapplying lotions and creams throughout the day (I have three products alone at my desk).
In the midst of that, Cyklar swooped in and took over my lengthy, multi-step body care routine with just one body wash and one body cream. The body wash has an oil-infused formula that contains humectants, like sodium PCA and glycerin to lock in moisture, plus fatty acids to strengthen the skin barrier. The consistency is a slightly slimy—not sticky—texture that almost hugs your skin as you use it.
I personally use a gentle exfoliating body towel with the body wash, and it takes 1.5 pumps for me to work through my body head to toe. The product lathers up wonderfully (not that a lather indicates a higher level of effectiveness), and makes the in-shower experience feel super luxe. And the Vanilla Verve scent is absolutely divine; imagine a warm vanilla with a hint of smokiness that creates this grounded yet rich fragrance. Usually, my skin has a slightly painfully tight feeling post shower, but after I use the Cyklar body wash and towel-dry my body, it just feels like I’m coming out of a spa.

Using the Cyklar body wash alone has kept my skin far more moisturized than all the other body washes I’ve used before, but it’s still not quite enough to use alone. (As is, well, normal.) I initially was using Cyklar’s Sacred Santal Body Cream when I first was testing it out, but after trying the vanilla-scented body wash, I immediately purchased the Vanilla Verve body cream, too. The cream formula contains prebiotics and antioxidants from banana flower extract, niacinamide for strengthening and brightening your skin barrier, and squalane that deeply nourishes your skin.
No matter the scent, the cream glides on and dries down just as nicely. It doesn’t take a lot of work to rub it into my skin like some thick creams, and there’s no stickiness that stays behind either. It leaves a slight sheen that just showcases healthy skin. Plus, the texture is lightweight enough that I could easily use it in the summer when my skin isn’t as dry, and it still won’t feel heavy.

Also what surprised me: The body wash and cream scents last on your skin all day. They’re present without being overpowering that you’d get a headache, and while people won’t smell you when you walk into a room, whoever hugs you will get a cozy waft of the scent you’re wearing. And as a vanilla fragrance fan, I love that I can use the Cyklar products as a base to my perfume of choice that day. (These days, I’m absolutely loving Fugazzi’s Vanilla Haze.)
The only thing I wish was different about the body cream is the tube design—I personally prefer a pump. However, if I had to argue against myself, the tube is far easier to travel with.
While this was a fairly new purchase, probably one of the last ones I made in 2024, the Cyklar body wash and body cream duo is replacing dozens of products in my bathroom that I had in rotation. I’m dedicated to it to the point that I will 100 percent be decanting it into travel-friendly bottles for my upcoming trips and have already purchased backups for “just in case.”
This year, I’m determined to stay as moisturized as I can as an anti-aging routine, so if you’re looking for other hydrating products I’m loving, like lip balms and skincare, check out my other recommendations below.
