Expansion marks success for CORE Fitness & Physical Therapy | Good News 2024

When Diane Fidler opened Core Fitness and Physical Therapy in 2005, she envisioned a place where clients could receive personalized care and achieve their health and fitness goals. Nearly two decades later, Core has not only fulfilled that vision but has expanded significantly to better serve its growing clientele.

As of 2024, Core Fitness and Physical Therapy at 2940 W. 95th St. in Evergreen Park continues to thrive, offering an array of services in an expanded space that reflects its commitment to excellence in health and wellness.

In 2019, Core Fitness and Physical Therapy underwent a significant expansion, doubling its studio space to accommodate the increasing demand for its rehab services and group fitness classes. They have since grown even more, dedicating a second location entirely to their newest department: Core Sport. Lead by Physical Therapist Bobby Waddell, Core Sport is helping athletes of all ages “bridge the gap between injury and peak performance.” They are currently located in the lower level of Church 103.

Core is particularly renowned for its Pelvic Health and Rehabilitation Program, which addresses both female and male-specific conditions through specialized physical therapy and pelvic floor therapy. The program is staffed by specially qualified professionals including Courtney Broderick, Director of PT Services, and Molly Rusnak, Head of the Pelvic Health Department. They are both doctorates of physical therapy, and have established outstanding reputations in pelvic health and rehabilitation.

Since Core Fitness and Physical Therapy and the Core Sport division have fitness centers housed within their physical therapy clinics, the staff can guide clients right into a fitness program where they are able to maintain the gains they achieved during therapy with a safe, yet challenging, workout. Athletes at Core Sport are coached through sport-specific workouts and training programs to improve their athletic performance.

Core Fitness and Physical Therapy provides a diverse range of physical therapists, massage therapists, Pilates teachers, fitness instructors, and strength & conditioning coaches who hold a wide range of degrees, certifications and specializations. These include Be Activated certifications; Scrape and Tape certifications; Pelvic Health specialists; Certified Strength & Conditioning Coaches; and Nationally Certified Pilates Teachers, to name a few. The Core staff includes Diane Fidler, MPT, Owner & CEO; Terri McCabe, COO & Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher; Courtney Broderick, DPT, Director of Physical Therapy Services; Katie Nolan, Director of Patient Services; and Bobby Waddell, DPT, Director of Core Sport.

Core Fitness and Physical Therapy is deeply rooted in the Beverly, Morgan Park, Mt. Greenwood, and Evergreen Park communities.

As Core Fitness and Physical Therapy enters its 20th year, the center continues to innovate and expand its services, staying true to its mission of providing personalized, high-quality care.
