St. Armand plans cannabis survey | News, Sports, Jobs

To the editor:

The St. Armand Town Board has decided to host a cannabis survey for the town of St. Armand residents.

This survey will consist of two YES or NO questions:

1. I want to allow a cannabis dispensary business in the town of St. Armand

2. I want to allow a cannabis on-site consumption business in the town of St. Armand

There will be space on the page for any comments.

Residents must provide proof of residency to take part in the survey, however the survey itself will be anonymous. Proof of residency can be a utility bill or driver’s license with physical address. Residents must be 18 or older to take the survey.

To take the survey, please come into the town hall, 1702 state Route 3, Bloomingdale, on Friday, May 20 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. or Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. To ensure that only St. Armand residents take part in the survey, there will be no mail-in or online survey options. The survey will be in-person only.

We are conducting the survey because of the new laws regarding cannabis. We want to ensure that we are hearing from our residents and making decisions based upon what the majority of the people want.

Thank you,

Davina Winemiller, town supervisor; Karl Law, deputy town supervisor; Donald Amell, town councilperson; Sheridan Swinyer, town councilperson; Stephanie Bolduc Mikesel, town councilperson
